Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Choreo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Choreo mobile application (the "App"). By using Choreo, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Choreo is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. We collect:

• Device Identifier: An anonymous device-level identifier is generated automatically when you first open the App. This identifier is used solely to associate your device with a profile inside your household.
• Profile Data You Provide: Your chosen first name and color, household name, and chore details (names, schedules, completion timestamps).
• Photos and Notes: Photos you take or upload as part of chore "callouts" or resolutions, and any text notes you attach to them.
• Activity Logs: Records of chore completions, callouts, and rotations within your household, used to power the in-app activity feed and leaderboard.

Choreo does not collect your email address, phone number, name (beyond what you choose to display), location data, contacts, calendar, or any other personal data unless you explicitly provide it via support email.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected only to:

• Provide the App's core functionality (chore tracking, callouts, leaderboards)
• Display your activity to other members of your household
• Diagnose technical issues and improve App performance

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. How Information Is Stored

Choreo's data is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend service. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Database records (profiles, chores, completions, callouts) are stored in a Supabase Postgres database with row-level security ensuring only members of your household can access your household's data.

Supabase's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties. The only entities that may process your data are:

• Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider, used solely to host and serve App data.
• Members of your household — anyone who has joined your household using its 6-character invite code can see chores, photos, and activity within that household.
• Legal authorities — if required by valid legal process, we may disclose information to comply with applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain household and chore data for as long as the household remains active. If you leave a household, your individual profile is detached from your device but historical completions and callouts remain in the household's record (for fairness tracking).

You may request full deletion of your data by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your associated records within 30 days of receiving your request.

6. Children's Privacy

Choreo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive a copy of your data in portable format

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all network traffic and row-level security on database access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
